Terrace Downs is located close to Mt Hutt , sometimes called Mt Shut because of the challenging weather which often results in closure. The course is beautiful and challenging particularly so because of the high winds. Mt Hutt, scoured and treeless towers over the pine forrests and farmland below whilst the river, an amazing aqua blue borders the golf course - complete with a jet boat.All day a light cloud hung under the peak - land of the long white cloud. The golf gods were kind, sending light winds and sunshine. The views are breathtaking.
The clubhouse, timber and stone, is surrounded by villas built in an alpine style which overlook the course. Tonight we are dining at the resort before travelling on to Queenstown.
